also Elimelech means God is my king and two kings in 2Kings have died as did Elimelech in Ruth the husband of Naomi, and Edom revolting from under Judah made themselves a king: - Spoke 8: Comparing 2Kings 8 with Ruth 1; Comparing of both Naomi and the woman in 2Kings 8 who went to sojourn in the land of the Philistines and returned find their way to live as they returned to their own land; the praying or begging to someone else, Elisha, Benhadad the king of Syria and Boaz were addressed to as lord or master by Hazael and Ruth; while Ruth 2 is at the time of harvest and 2Kings 8 is a time of war and perhaps from God's point of view a period of war is a time for harvest to him as the Hebrew word for bread is LeKheM and the word for fight is LaKhaM and battle/war is MaLKhaMaH therefore are perhaps related in this sense; though there is no Hebrew connection there is the mentioning of son in law or mother in law; while Ruth sought to find favour in Boaz's sight Jehoram the king of Judah did evil in the sight of the LORD while he reigned for eight years which would be another emphasis of the pattern of eight: - Spoke 8: Comparing 2Kings 8 with Ruth 2; Comparing of in contrast to Naomi's husband and her sons, one being Ruth's husband having died, Boaz pronounces, As the LORD liveth, in order to perform the kinsman redeemer's part, whereas in 2Kings we are reminded that Elisha brought the woman's son back to life as well as God healed the king Benhadad of Syria saying he will live howbeit it was his servant Hazael who killed him: - Spoke 8: Comparing 2Kings 8 with Ruth 3;
