Both 2Timothy 3 and 1Kings 2 mention the giving of charge of Paul to Timothy and David to Solomon. As David said that he goes the way of all the earth, Paul said the time of his departure is at hand. Both David and Paul name names of people who are worthy of honour and dishonour because of what they have done.
