Jesus mentions in John 6 the giving of bread to the children of Israel in the wilderness, relating to Numbers 21 and are dead. Jesus also gave them bread. But he also refer to himself as the bread of life/everlasting life. He also mentioned the eating (spiritually) his flesh and drinking his blood to have eternal life, in other words to live like him.
