Both Numbers 14 and 2Chronicles 6 mention the coming out or returning to the land of Egypt. Numbers 14 is the consequence of the evil report received that the land of Canaan wherein they spied was full of giants and they caused to the people to cry all night not to go conquer it. And they wished to return to Egypt. But God punished and then forgave them however he swore not to bring them to the promised land and bring their children instead who hadn't seen the mighty acts of God. 2Chronicles 6 is the prayer of Solomon to ask for forgiveness for various circumstances if Israel has come short in faith.
