Genesis 8
Water and the earth are repeated often in Genesis 8 along with the wind. Proverbs 30 mentions the earth not filled with water and yet in a contrast in Genesis 8 the earth is covered with water beyond the mountains.

Proverbs 30 Deuteronomy 8
Proberbs 30 is on the 8th Spoke 2nd cycle. Deuteronomy 8 is on the 8th spoke of the 1st cycle. When comparing Deuteronomy 8 every word was the first thing that came to my attention.
Then you'll find the word fill/full with lest.
Add to that deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD? from Proverbs 30; and forget not the LORD from Deuteronomy 8:11 and thou forget the LORD from Deuteronomy 8:14.

The following is referring to going up to heaven to get the word or message to bring it down to the people. It is given already. It is written already. Proverbs 30 adds that they are pure words. Both Deuteronomy 30 and Proverbs 30 are related and perhaps meant to be read together.

Now compare these passages with the 30th book. Amos 8 is talking about the word or message from God that is missing in the last days of the northern kingdom of Israel under Jeroboam II. Ever since the northern Israel got their independence from Judah they made their own places of worship. They set up their idols. Baasha succeeded Jeroboam I's lineage and built a wall to prevent people to go down to Judah to present themselves to the temple.

11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:
12 And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it.

Both Deuteronomy 30 and Judges 8 have this in common: to forget the LORD and his messenger (namely Gideon) or to deny them.

Another thing in common is the name Obed which means servant. For some reason, it was the neighbors who called Ruth's son Obed.

A servant who reigns was mentioned in Proverbs 30. Samuel refused to reign over Israel; and so did Gideon. God is as a lion that turns not away. This continues throughout the book of Amos:

The Fire That Says It Is Not Enough
Even though Israel, being the last kingdom prophesied against doesn't mention fire right away. It does however mention later on because the rest of the chapters are referring to Israel. It actually mentions in Amos 5.

We saw in Amos 1 how the LORD roared from Zion and he fulfilled the prophesies of Amos he said he would do upon the 8 cities. And he continues acting as a lion.

Not Satisfied
In Amos 1 and 2 fire was mentioned which devoured the palaces of the 8 cities pronounced judgment against. Fire is never satisfied. So is the earth when you pour water in it. It sinks beneath the earth. But in Amos 4 it says the people sought for water and there wasn't enough for them.
